The Bees take on Yeovil at Wembley just over three weeks after they agonisingly missed out on automatic promotion on the final day of the season.

Brentford were a last-minute spot-kick from going up, only for Marcello Trotta to hit the crossbar and Doncaster to break clear and score at the other end to clinch the League One title.

They then came through a nerve-shredding penalty shoot-out against Swindon in the semi-finals and are now in sight of the finish line once again.

"We've had some massive highs and some massive lows and we've got a great occasion on Sunday - but it will only be a great occasion if we win," said 28-year-old Craig.

"It's been an unbelievable season and not just in our league.

"It seems to be the way that we don't do anything simple but we've worked very hard as a team.

"We seem to play with no fear, we've got a game plan to get through most games and hopefully that will take us through. We have to do the job in hand and the reward is Championship football."

Manager Uwe Rosler admits the promotion bid has been a "roller-coaster" but the German is ready to strap himself in for one last ride.

The Bees have had a fortnight to prepare to face a Yeovil side who beat them twice during the season, and Rosler insists they are ready to turn the tables.

"We left the players to their own devices for a couple of days to recover from the roller-coaster of the last three weeks," he said.

"Coming into this week I have had to make sure the players, who were switched off, switched back on again.

"We are on it now, we are prepared physically and tactically, we know how we want to play. We are confident going into the game.

"Crazy things happened to us - we were three inches from automatic promotion, then had to get up again for a European-style two-legger.

"We came through that when all the odds were against us and everyone thought we would lose. That sort of experience will help us at Wembley, this team never knows when to give up."

e'll be fine, no problem. If they do get relegated, he's definitely going to ask how anyone could ever have thought that Villa were going to be fine given their problems before he came.

toke though. Hmn. I don't think it was defending that made people dislike Stoke so much as the out and out cheating/nastiness they regularly displayed. That, and they kept buying the odd flair player and then ruining them (Oh! Tuncay, what were you thinking?).

ell that really inspires me with confidence. No point in training, deciding on a coherent formation, or playing players in their best positions, let's just hope we get lucky.
