Wedgbury, 24, has agreed a move from non-league Macclesfield where he made more than 100 appearances and has just been voted player of the year.

Heslop, 26, joins on a free transfer from Oxford for whom he made 90 appearances over three seasons.

The duo join Mansfield defender Luke Jones and former Bristol Rovers striker Oumare Tounkara in linking up with Boro boss Graham Westley ahead of the new League One campaign.
