The 25-year-old joined the Terriers on a six-month loan on transfer deadline day last summer and went on to make 16 appearances for club, scoring twice.

The former Liverpool and Barnsley man returned to Molineux for the second half of the campaign but played just four times as the club were relegated to League One.

Hammill impressed during his short spell at the John Smith's Stadium last year and Huddersfield are keen to sign him again this summer.

It is believed that the two clubs are in advanced talks over a permanent move that will take the winger to Yorkshire.
