Carlisle striker Lee Miller has agreed a one-year contract extension, which includes the option of a further 12 months.

The former Falkirk and Aberdeen marksman has bagged 24 goals in 60 appearances for Greg Abbott's men and, having been made captain for the latter part of the last season, the Cumbrians were keen to tie him down on a longer deal.

"We know what he brings to the side when he's playing at the top of his game," Abbott told the club's official website.

"He brings a lot to the team and the dressing room and we're delighted we have got this sorted - we know he likes being here."
