The 34-year-old initially joined the Robins on loan before signing a permanent contract in January and is closing in on a half-century of appearances for the League One club.

"I'm delighted to have signed," he told STFC Player. "It's been going on for a while and we've been quite relaxed about it.

"It's been common knowledge that other clubs were interested, but under the circumstances and how happy I find myself here, I want to stay and I'm glad to have signed."

think all those names linked to United exits make sense. Kagawa has never really looked like hitting the form he had at Dortmund and Fellaini is radioactive after last season (even though I think he's been unfairly singled out for criticism). Nani and Anderson have had more than their fair share of chances so they are done, and Hernandez deserves better than warming a bench.
