The Scot revealed City have been contacted by Sheffield United this week with regard to the availability of talented five-goal striker Callum Wilson, 21, but revealed nothing had progressed past that and he did not expect it too either.

And boss Pressley even admits he could bolster his ranks before the close of play on Monday.

"We have no intention to sell any of our players," he said.

"Like every club, and that includes the top clubs, every player has a valuation and if someone comes in with a ridiculous bid then of course we'll consider it but we're actively trying to sell no player within our football club.

"I've been put under no pressure to sell any player at this club. The only way we will sell a player is if a valuation is met but our valuation of our current crop of young players is very high and I don't anticipate anyone meeting that valuation.

"I'm very confident we'll retain our squad and, hopefully, if the right players become available, add to that."
