Jackett blasted his team's second-half performance when they allowed Carlisle to come back into the game and almost snatch an unexpected win.

First-half goals from Bakary Sako and Leigh Griffiths, his 10th of the season, came either side of a Prince Buaben strike for Carlisle.

However, Wolves lost their lead early in the second half to a Liam Noble penalty and it was Carlisle who came close to inflicting only a second defeat of the season on their opponents and would have done so if Lewis Guy and Buaben had taken clear-cut chances.

Jackett said: "We did well to get a point and probably didn't deserve that. Carlisle were the better side, particularly in the second half. I'm disappointed with a really poor performance. We didn't show enough hunger, desire or running.

"We got our noses in front but in the second half we never showed and Carlisle wanted it more than us. It was a massive occasion for Carlisle and as the game went on we fell away. On balance they had more chances than we did so I'm pleased with a point.

"We never got going in that second half. I felt we could have done a lot more and we were fortunate to get a point."
