Welsh, Keith Keane, Scott Laird, Paul Huntington, Stuart Beavon, Lee Holmes, Joel Byrom, David Buchanan and Jack King will all remain with the club until the summer of 2015.

Manager Simon Grayson said: "We are delighted that these players have committed their immediate futures to the football club.

"We have a strong, competitive squad here with an excellent team spirit and by signing these new deals it is great to know that what we are trying to achieve is something these players want to be a part of."

think all those names linked to United exits make sense. Kagawa has never really looked like hitting the form he had at Dortmund and Fellaini is radioactive after last season (even though I think he's been unfairly singled out for criticism). Nani and Anderson have had more than their fair share of chances so they are done, and Hernandez deserves better than warming a bench.
