The Barclays Premier League side have asked for the 29-year-old's return following number one Allan McGregor's red card in their 1-0 defeat to Crystal Palace.

Jakupovic will return to the KC Stadium to provide competition for Steve Harper while McGregor serves his three-match ban.

The Bosnian-born Switzerland international made four appearances for Orient and kept three clean sheets, as the Sky Bet League One promotion challengers won all four contests.

"We'd like to thank Eldin for all his efforts here over the last few games and he's done a fantastic job," O's boss Russell Slade told the club's website.

"It's unfortunate for us but the process of finding a replacement has already started."

still can't see the Phil Jones thing that some people go on about. Whenever I watch him play it's a repeat of headless chicken meets a gurning Bambi on ice for 90 minutes.

P

robably the first list I've come across in a long time where I agree with a large majority of what was written. Can't agree with everything though, Zaba has had an awful season by his standards, I'd put Monreal (a player who I've never rated) up there, gotta give credit where it's due, he's really stepped up his game.
