James Hanson got the only goal of the game for the Bantams to secure their Football League safety and push Macc closer to the trap door.

"You cannot fault the lads for their effort, but confidence is low. We need a goal and a win from somewhere," he said. "I think we have got some good players, but confidence and momentum are important things in football.

"We were very disappointed at losing the game. I thought we started the game quite well and we were well in the game at half time.

"We didn't start as well in the second half and Bradford stepped it up. We didn't defend the free kick that led to their goal well enough, but we were very unlucky that the ball bounced off Ben Mills and crept in at the far post.

"One mistake has cost us the game, but we were not dominated by Bradford and the did not carve us open."

ven if United were to sign CR7 & Messi to play upfront, the fact remains Fletcher and Cleverly are playing in midfield. That's where the problem is. Fletcher is too slow with an awful pass, while Cleverly is simply rubbish
