Turner: Desperate to make play-offs

The Shrews' celebrations were put on hold when Accrington's Bryan Hughes netted a late equaliser last weekend, which meant Turner's men could not fully capitalise on Torquay's defeat.

Victory over the Daggers will guarantee promotion and help the Shropshire club put last season's play-off heartbreak behind them.

"As much as there was a disappointment about the dressing room, we have to remind ourselves about the position," Turner told the Shropshire Star. "We would have liked to have had it all settled on Saturday and maybe even thought about chasing Swindon (for the title).

"It didn't happen but what we don't want is a downer on everybody this week. There was a degree of flatness in the dressing room after the game but we will pick up through the week and be ready for next Saturday and I would hope it's a bumper gate when we try and do it.

"It would be nice to think Saturday will be a party atmosphere and will finish off with a celebration. But the message will be repeated time after time - we are not there yet."
