Di Canio's Robins secured promotion from League Two on Saturday, despite losing 3-1 at Gillingham, but after the game the Italian admitted he almost quit his role 45 days earlier.

With the former West Ham forward's immense success in his first managerial post almost certain to have drawn attention from clubs higher up the footballing pyramid, fans are worried Di Canio may move on in the summer. But Wray has moved to quell such fears.

He told BBC Wiltshire: "The truth is he is planning for next season and we've already discussed one or two players he feels like he could bring in.

"As it stands we're thrilled we've got half the job done and the plan is very much go again next season. A lot of that happens now. Paolo will let me know over the next few days who he feels is capable of going again, bearing in mind we are not just looking to survive in League One.

"We're talking about a requirement of serious ability and building a team again."

still can't see the Phil Jones thing that some people go on about. Whenever I watch him play it's a repeat of headless chicken meets a gurning Bambi on ice for 90 minutes.

P

robably the first list I've come across in a long time where I agree with a large majority of what was written. Can't agree with everything though, Zaba has had an awful season by his standards, I'd put Monreal (a player who I've never rated) up there, gotta give credit where it's due, he's really stepped up his game.
