The 31-year-old has made 141 appearances for Stanley since joining them in the summer of 2006 and recently regained his first-team slot at the expense of on-loan Wigan youngster Lee Nicholls.

"I'm delighted to be signing a new deal especially after a new manager has come in," said Dunbavin in a club statement.

"When that happens you're never sure what happens next and what your future is.

"The gaffer has come in and impressed all the lads with the way he goes about things and I'm just made up to be back on board and involved for another year really."

t's a bloody good goal, though. Sh!t, the kid's gonna be the worlds best before we know it, isn't he? He's got the touch of genius in him. Like Neymar, but with muscles and stuff. He's doing a Ronaldo as we watch. He's bulked up to be able to ride the tackles, but he's improved technically as well. His touch is sublime. Bugger.
