The Dons last week knocked back an offer for their 28-year-old striker, who scored 20 goals this season, from League Two rivals Rotherham.

But Brown was unable to guarantee Midson is not for sale at any price.

He told the South London Press: "I would love to be able to say that - I'm not sure we are in the position to.

"Every player has a price no matter who they are and what club they are at."
