Junior Brown's last-gasp strike earned the Football League newcomers a point in stoppage time.

David Ball gave the Cod Army the half-time lead before goals from Jeff Goulding and Sido Jombati in the space of 10 second-half minutes turned the game on its head. Brown prodded in from close range deep into stoppage time before home captain Alan Bennett was then sent off for violent conduct.

"It wasn't a fantastic game to be honest and it was a battle at both ends of the pitch, but we hung in there and got the point we definitely deserved at the end," Mellon said.

"To pick up a point at Cheltenham, we'd probably have taken that before the game, but at half-time a goal up, I'd have expected us to have gone on and won. We wanted seven points from nine from the last three games and we've achieved that, so we are pleased.

"All in all, I think a draw was a fair result. We are disappointed to lose goals from set plays, but to get back in it at the end and get a result is pleasing."

t's wrong to be making a joke out of Bender's name at the expense of gay people. It's the kind of childish, uncivilised thing that Football365 would deride and ridicule if it was another media outlet saying. Why is there a need for jokes like this? Does it make your writers feel like men? F365 might suggest that I 'lighten up', but it is genuinely traumatic for people who have been oppressed all their lives to be the butt of jokes, and to be told...

ou can't blame De Gea for wanting to leave, he has enough to do in front of goal as it is as well as taking on the role of Man Utd's version of Derek Acorah in trying to contact and organise a defence that isn't there.

f you want to take six points off Arsenal, then that's a great strike force. Can't imagine either of them showing much for the rest of the season though...
