The win moved Rowett's men to within three points of an automatic promotion spot in League Two less than 48 hours after they were on FA Cup replay duty at Altrincham.

The Burton boss said: "Considering how little time there was between the games, I thought we did sensationally well and I would say it was our biggest result of the season so far.

"We had literally a day to recover and I could see our legs were starting to a go a little bit, but we've shown we have character in abundance."
