Following three wins in a row in all competitions, Holdsworth believes a goal was the only thing lacking from a positive performance with Craig Reid missing a glorious chance in the final 10 minutes of Saturday's League Two clash at Bootham Crescent.

"I am really proud of those boys," he said. "They've gone through an unbelievable amount of hard work to get up here due to the conditions we had on Friday. I thought we were the better side but the only thing we lacked was the finishing touch.

"You know you're dominant when you hear the home fans booing and you know you're in control. They changed the system and had a couple of counter attacks against us but I thought we were comfortable and the only thing lacking from us today was the final bit of the jigsaw.

"It's a tough place to come to but we've given a good account of ourselves and on another day we would have won that game.

"It's been an incredible experience after everything we've gone through to get up here and the conditions were treacherous. The only thing missing was the final goal.

"There's a great team spirit here and the players worked extremely hard and now we will move on to the Northampton game."

still can't see the Phil Jones thing that some people go on about. Whenever I watch him play it's a repeat of headless chicken meets a gurning Bambi on ice for 90 minutes.

P

robably the first list I've come across in a long time where I agree with a large majority of what was written. Can't agree with everything though, Zaba has had an awful season by his standards, I'd put Monreal (a player who I've never rated) up there, gotta give credit where it's due, he's really stepped up his game.
