Ryan Brunt grabbed an injury-time winner to continue the Pirates' revival after Barnet substitute Harry Crawford had equalised Fabian Broghammer's 77th-minute strike in the final minute.

A delighted Ward said: "It was a terrific game between two teams belying their league positions.

"I thought they produced a great contest in front of a big crowd and I'm pleased our fans have gone home happy.

"I couldn't be more thrilled with my players because Barnet were very good opposition.

"I signed Ryan Brunt because he is an old-fashioned centre-forward who leads the line and can adapt to various formations.

"The ball seemed to take an age to find the roof of the net from his shot and I thought the ball had gone over.

"It was a great feeling when it went in.

"I feel a bit embarrassed celebrating like I did at my age but I haven't felt that sort of elation in quite a while."
