Chambers, 23, played a starring role in bringing an end to the Minstermen's 16-game winless run on Monday when he dinked home the opening goal in a 2-0 victory over Plymouth.

The strike seemed to lift the player's confidence and he was unlucky not to add another in the first half with a delicious bending effort which narrowly missed the top corner.

York still remain in the League Two relegation zone, although a first win under Worthington has given them belief they can survive, and the Northern Irishman is counting on Chambers to provide a spark down the final stretch.

He said: "He can be a match winner.

"He can cause damage to the opposition, there's no doubt about that.

"He's one of them, he needs to just keep an arm putting round and cajoling.

"Hopefully, through his own performance, he gets a lot from it because he is a danger to the opposition and can cause problems."

e doesn't need a caoch. He needs a bus. A bloody big one, that he can park across the goal line. And when he gets one, he can do us a favour and let us know where we can buy one from as well.
