Long-serving defender Damian Batt leaves the club after 177 appearances while Simon Helsop, Jon-Paul Pittman, Tony Capaldi and Liam Davis, who all featured in their last home game of the campaign, will also depart the Kassam this summer.

Luke McCormick, Harry Worley, Peter Leven, Josh Park and Justin Richards will also head to pastures new as Chris Wilder overhauls his squad.

Andy Whing and Alfie Potter will be staying with the club after the U's took up the option on their contracts while Scott Davies and Deane Smalley have been offered new deals.

The U's will talk to defender Luke O'Brien over the next few weeks with an eye to keeping the former Bradford defender at the club next season.
