The U's boss is yet to confirm any arrivals having bid farewell to a number of first-team players but he admits new faces will continue to arrive after the squad regroup for pre-season training on June 21.

When asked if the club would be able to get their transfer business done quickly, he told the Oxford Mail: "No, I don't think that's realistic for us to get it all done and dusted - we will wait and make sure.

"We might have to be patient and the supporters will have to be patient. At the start of pre-season I don't want it to be just Jake Wright, Michael Raynes, Andy Whing and Alfie Potter.

"I'm absolutely sure it won't, I think there will be a decent amount of players there, but it won't be up to 19.

"It will possibly be around the 16-mark, but if we have to be patient, hang on and keep our powder dry until something comes up, then we will do."
