Grant, one of the Chairboys' star men, has been strongly linked with a move to Ipswich but his manager is hopeful of keeping him at Adams Park.

"Joel was one of the top performers last year and it would be crazy if I didn't try to keep him," he told the Bucks Free Press.

"To compete with Ipswich is momentous. It's fantastic for Joel to be linked with a great, historic club like Ipswich.

"Whatever Joel decides, I know he can be a great player for Gareth Ainsworth, but equally I would be a very proud man if he goes on to play at a higher level. Either way there's no decision yet from Joel."
