The 25-year-old, who is the son of former England international Teddy, has spent the last two seasons at Bournemouth.

Dons boss Neal Ardley said: "Charlie has scored a lot of goals at a lower level and I feel that he deserves a chance to prove that he can score goals in the Football League.

"I think he can certainly do that and he will do very well for us. He also scored when he moved to Bournemouth, but a bad foot injury put him out for a while. Bournemouth obviously saw something in him, but they got promoted to the Championship and are moving in a different direction.

"Charlie is technically very good, he is tall and similar in stature to Jack Midson. I believe that in Jack and Charlie we have two players who know where to be in the box and how to score goals.

"Charlie can also drop deeper and link the play. If we do want to try and get the ball down a bit more and link-up the play in forward areas then Charlie will fit into that."

e have the personnel. The trick is keeping them fit. Carrick and Blind have missed large chunks of the season, while the defence has been one muddled mess of intermittent stooges, all coming and going at various intervals thus far. We may be just short of title winning quality, but we're half way through. An injury crisis to either of the top two could change things. Optimistic, yes, but not unrealistic.

arish is the man to blame for this shambles. Pulis must be chuckling into his left over turkey sandwich. I pray this doesn't mean the Neil Warnock media machine will kick in now and he'll be back on the telly box.

e almost found a new way to lose, just when I thought it was getting boring Giroud does that. Although Arsenal are deservedly called 'soft' the entire midfield is out injured. Still must admit MU are managing to win despite a similar raft of absentees. Think the Gunners have good players but poorly coached.
