The former Sheffield Wednesday winger, who played under current Iron management team Brian Laws and Russ Wilcox at Hillsborough, has been training with the club for the past three weeks and impressed in a recent friendly with a first-half hat-trick.

The Amsterdam-born 28-year-old told the club's official website that he was more than happy to follow his former bosses to Glanford Park.

"We had some good times at Sheffield Wednesday and I am delighted to be back with them," he said.

"I know what to expect of them as a management team and they know what to expect of me as well.

"We need to push for promotion - I think we can do well. We have a good squad and I know what this side can do."
