The on-loan Sunderland man, who recently extended his stay until the end of November, scored his first goal for the Chairboys in Saturday's 3-0 victory over Plymouth.

"I'm just concentrating on what I'm doing here at the moment and focusing on Wycombe," Knott told the club's official website.

"I'm a Wycombe player at the moment and I class myself as a Wycombe player. I'm really enjoying it and we're pushing up the table - we'll see what happens in the future when it comes to it. I'm just focusing on what I'm doing now.

"It was an easy decision for me to extend my loan because the boys have been great, everyone's helping and we're winning games - that's the main thing as a footballer and I'm really enjoying it.

"Wycombe's a great club and it's easy to get on with the lads. You can see from the great team spirit that we're doing well at the moment and everyone's flying."

resumably, you wanted to keep the version of Downing that was never seen at Anfield. The one that another manager has managed to re-create. The one you passed over.
