Bristol Rovers boss John Ward is keen to pair strikers Matt Harrold and Ryan Brunt together in Friday night's League Two encounter with Southend .

Brunt is expected to be fit following two weeks on the sidelines with an ankle injury and Ward has yet to find a settled partnership in attack.

He told Bristol Post: "I'd like to see that partnership happen because they are both good players and we already know they can score goals.

"I've looked at the stats for the first 10 games and we are generally in good shape other than the amount of goals we have scored."
