The 28-year-old former Charlton striker, who represented AEL Limassol in the Champions League in 2012, has recently been plying his trade at Chinese Super League side Shanghai East Asia and, after returning to England, rejected a number of offers before linking up with the Daggers.

Manager Wayne Burnett told the club's official website: "I'm absolutely delighted that we've managed to capture Chris Dickson.

"He's a player I've worked with previously and someone we hope will come here and score goals. He's got a wealth experience having played in the Championship and only playing in the Champions League two or three seasons ago.

"I welcome his experience that I feel will only enhance the group and the rest of the players."

ah, Fergie is just having another pop at Rooney. He just wants to put him down whenever he gets a chance. Rooney is by far the best English player. Carrick is not far behind, mind. However, by elevating Carrick like that, Sir is having a dig at Wayne. Fergie is well-known for mind games like that. Good to see he's still feisty.
