He was offered a new deal at the end of last season and, after some deliberation, he has agreed to extend his stay at the club, despite an offer from a Barclays Premier League club.

Goldson came through the youth system at Shrewsbury and had a loan spell at Cheltenham during the middle of the 2013/14 season.

The 21-year-old has made 66 appearances for Shrews, 39 of which came last season.

The contract extension comes on the same day as the club signed experienced midfielder Liam Lawrence ahead of their return to the fourth tier next season.

I

expect Pulis to have a nice Christmas dinner with his family- probably all sitting around the table wearing Christmas themed baseball caps, before he gets the call. Realistically he could end up at any number of clubs, it'll be interesting to see which club folds first.
