Shrewsbury manager Micky Mellon has revealed he is still on the lookout for new recruits despite already signing 16 players this summer.

The former Fleetwood boss, however, spoke of his difficulty in attempting to find further additions which are significantly better than the ones currently at the club.

"When you're at a football club and you want to make it grow, you've always got to be looking trying to make your own players better or recruiting better," he told the official club website.

"But in terms of what I've got at the moment I'm delighted with what we've got and they will be pleased to hear probably that I'm struggling to find better.

"But that won't stop me looking and keep expecting them to get better."
