Zac Thompson: Extends Bury loan deal

Thompson moved to Gigg Lane for an initial month on October 15 and has made 16 appearances for Kevin Blackwell's League One strugglers, scoring twice.

The Shakers are currently operating under a transfer embargo due to an unpaid short-term loan from the Professional Footballers' Association, but the club confirmed on their official website that Thompson's extended stay had been confirmed by the Football League.

The 20-year-old is the third loanee to commit his immediate future to Bury in recent days, after deals to keep Leicester striker Tom Hopper and QPR forward Troy Hewitt were agreed last Friday.
