Peltier turned his ankle towards the end of the weekend defeat at Charlton and is waiting for a full prognosis as Leeds look to avoid a fifth straight defeat and halt their slide towards the relegation zone with victory over Yorkshire rivals Wednesday.

Fellow central defender Tom Lees will sit out the final game of his three-match ban and Redfearn could be left short at the heart of defence.

"He went over on his ankle," Redfearn told the club's official website.

"There was a lot of swelling immediately afterwards so it was iced and it was a case of waiting for the swelling to go down before an assessment can be made.

"It didn't look good, but it's very difficult to judge or comment on until he can be assessed properly."

ah, Fergie is just having another pop at Rooney. He just wants to put him down whenever he gets a chance. Rooney is by far the best English player. Carrick is not far behind, mind. However, by elevating Carrick like that, Sir is having a dig at Wayne. Fergie is well-known for mind games like that. Good to see he's still feisty.
