Hunt has signed a two-year deal at Elland Road after leaving Reading at the end of last season.

The Irishman is relishing joining Leeds and is hoping he can help win promotion from the Championship next season.

"It has to be the number one target [promotion]," Hunt told Sky Sports News. "The club have showed intent, they have spent a few quid obviously got in a few players and I am sure there will be more to come.

"The big thing for this season is to get back into the top league in the country and this place has got all the foundations and all work to do it, so hopefully we can.

"I know a lot of these boys know what they are in for as they have been in this league long enough and lot of them want a crack at the top table and hopefully we can do it."
