The winger will sit out the Whites' Easter programme with a hamstring strain - having already missed their last nine fixtures.

Leeds appeared to have pulled off quite a coup when they lured Kebe to Elland Road in January.

Premier League side Crystal Palace were prepared to let the former Reading man step back down into the Sky Bet Championship - a division he has shone in previously.

The 30-year-old has, however, struggled for form and fitness in the second tier and has faced criticism from a disgruntled fan base.

Leeds boss Brian McDermott is prepared to keep the faith, though, and will look to use Kebe again if he returns to fitness before the close of the 2013/14 campaign.

He said in the Yorkshire Evening Post: "Jimmy won't be fit for the weekend but he's still with us and he's doing his rehab here.

"I hope he gets the chance to play again because I'd really like him to properly show what he can do.

"Sometimes it doesn't work out for a player at a certain club, and he's not had an easy time here, but he's got so much to offer. We've all seen that from him in the past."

ever ceases to amaze me when ex players come out with comments like that. Clearly they have zero interest in the best interests of a club that provided them with a living to be making such idiotic and boorish comments as that. Shame on you Jimmy Case.
