Nigel Pearson: Leicester have lost five of their last nine matches

A defeat by Midlands rivals Derby County on Saturday evening means the Foxes have now lost five of their last nine matches to sink to sixth in the table.

Leicester have lost momentum at a crucial stage of the season to consequently go from challenging for the title to not being certain of a place in the play-offs.

And Pearson said in the Daily Star: "I don't know whether my position is in jeopardy. But I'm a scrapper.

"I would hope I will be in a job if Leicester don't reach the play-offs. But I don't think this is a question I can really answer.

"My focus will be trying to achieve the next win and hopefully that will be the next game.

"There has been speculation. It is an unfortunate part of management that you have to be prepared to deal with that. I have to keep the focus on the job."
