Think it's important to remember that Sterling is just an 18 year old lad. Watching him this year has proven to me that he does show so much promise, but obviously at 18, isn't the finished article. He's not going to be our saviour just yet. Think Brendans doing well to manage him and manage our expectations of him. Hope he continues to grow well here.

@swampdog I think he means over the 2012/2013 season.... not of all time. he is just saying that sterling's first year has been pretty good overall.. its more than likely that sterling has had the biggest impact as a 17/18 year old this season, than anyone else in the "top 5 leagues in the world".

"I don't know of another 17-year-old who had the impact he had in one of the top five leagues in the world" he cant be serious can he, owen and rooney burst onto the scene with more of an impact than stirling owen was 17 and rooney was 16. i think owens injurys over the last few years have been down to over playing him at a young age.thats a prime example of a player being burnt out. stirling has had a great season but surely rodgers will rest him now for fear of the same happening to him
