Amid the Premier League's manager-merry-go-round this summer, Sky Bet offers a range of specials on how each will perform in their new job. Mourinho is 12/1 to go unbeaten in the league before Christmas, Martinez is 5/1 not to win any of his first three while Moyes is 6/5 to steer Man Utd to third, or worse.
The Turkish midfielder joined Liverpool on loan in August but his stay was cut short in January after just seven Premier League appearances.
Sahin is laying the blame for his poor spell firmly at the feet of Rodgers for playing him in the wrong position.
Now back with Borussia Dortmund on loan from Real Madrid, Sahin told AS: "It failed at Liverpool. Brendan Rodgers wanted me playing at ten. But I do not play behind the strikers.
"I talked to him and asked why I was playing there - not my actual position.
"The coach could not answer...still, no regrets. To play and stay at Anfield is a wonderful thing. Maybe if I had not gone there I certainly could not have returned to Borussia Dortmund.
"Therefore, I am happy. But I have left Brendan Rodgers, thank God."
@ted crilly. No one is saying at one point he wasn't a good player. You don't win Bundesliga player of the year without having ability. Just that when he came to Liverpool - he was slow, off the pace and struggled to adjust to the pace of the premier league. I think even the biggest Sahin defender would admit that after a year ultimately out of the game (whether it be through injury or not on the team sheet at Real) he looks a shell of the player he formerly was in the Bundesliga. In regards to your comment about Skrtel, I'm going to put that down to you not watching much football other than Manchester United games, because Skrtel 3 months of solid form under Dalglish, but other than that he is error prone, inconsistent and is an average defender at best. Nothing to do with Rodgers.
No disrespect & all that to those included, but come on people, you can do better than this. Are you all sleeping? Is there really nothing you want to talk about? Please?
Newcastle fans aren't happy about Joe Kinnear's appointment as the club's new director of football. Plus, more chocolate football and a love letter to Fernando Redondo...
