The 24-year-old striker came on for the last half hour of the 2-0 defeat by Chelsea at Anfield last Sunday.

"We'll see over the next 48 hours," Reds boss Rodgers told his club's official website on Friday.

"He hadn't trained since he got injured in the game against Manchester City, so it was a bit much against Chelsea.

"He had worked really hard to get back and we needed something on the bench that could support us and help us in the game but unfortunately, it wasn't to be.

"But he's certainly in a much better place. He's worked tirelessly this week with the medical team. He re-joins the group and we'll see how he is come Monday."

enteke is an absolute steal for £32.5m, he would get into any team in the world (except Barcelona) at the moment. I've seen many very good strikers in my 30+ years as a Villa fan. This guy is the best without question.
