ManYoo Aren't Finished
I find it quite amusing the rubbish being spouted mainly from fans of the red half of Merseyside suggesting that United are finished as a force in football. Apparently the cataclysm has come about due to signing an ex footballer of the year with injury problems on a free. Now far be it from me to suggest any different, obviously losing Ronaldo would hit any team but come on, current Premiership Champions, losing Finalists in the Champions League, we lose a player sign another BAM! you are now officially Sh*t. Talk about reactionary bollo*ks, the transfer kitty is still over flowing, Fergie is learning that you cannot be held to ransom by teams expecting 30m for an 8m player and I expect other signings through the door.
I know all you scousers would love it if United suddenly dropped like a stone, but its not going to happen, and remember Mash and Alonso might be doing one yet, where would that put your lot? I'm sure Fergie can lend Rafa one of his many Paddles he's used throughout his career to get out of said creek. I still think United will be to good for Pool over the season and finish above them taking them to the 19 perch knocker offer number Fergie so wants.

Ouch
With Owen now secured, Fergie might as well spend the rest of the cash on other has-beens. I hear Sheva is going on the cheap, and there's also Ruud. Maybe Romario and the other Ronaldo are available. Wonder how much it would take to lure Hurst and Greavsie out of retirement.
Might as well hang a sign around the statue of Sir Matt saying "Small Club".

Him Or Him?
There is clearly too much positivity regarding the Michael Owen transfer.
So let me put this forward:
Two strikers were available on a free in Michael Owen and Daniel Sturridge.
Sturridge is younger, taller, stronger and has potential.
Michael Owen is injury prone, no longer effective and has not played football on a regular basis since 2002. Indeed, Kevin Keegan believed Owen would become a midfielder as he did not possess the qualities of a typical "poacher". For all Keegan's flaws, he is able to draw from his experience as a striker to assess how good Michael Owen is.
Why didn't United sign Sturridge? He clearly did not care about Man City, the club that raised him and it would be a perfect chance for Ferguson to stick one up against an up and coming team built on Arabian riches.
Sturridge was the safer option which would have yielded a better return, if not on the field, at least monetary wise once he is offloaded.
Therefore, under the circumstances, signing Michael Owen should be regarded as a mistake.

All ManYoo Have To Do Is Bid For Fabregas
As a Man Utd fan who watched the team get ANNHILATED in the champions league final this year, it's glaringly obvious that we need some class in midfield. With Fabregas trying to pull a Ronaldo, why don't we try and bid for him? Enough with the strikers, ENOUGH. We have two top-class first team choice strikers in Berbatov (cut the man some slack) and Rooney, along with Owen, Macheda, Wellbeck and of course Petrucci who has been in unbelievable form for the reserves.
Go for Fabregas. I think relations with Wenger have improved to the extent that he might even give it a thought. What's the harm in trying?
Also, I don't know why we're not looking at Schweinsteiger, I personally felt that he was one of Germany's best players at the European Championships.
Jose Faleiro
...And David Bentley
With Ribery seeming intent on joining the Madrid circus, United still a winger short and seemingly ready to shop in the bargain basement- isn't it time David Bentley sent his brochure out to Carrington?
He used to be quite good before he took his 'next DB' tag too seriously. Good at setpieces, crossing and decent speed too- plus he's available for peanuts (or a Nani) as Spurs seem intent on dumping him.
What do you think?

When It All Started To Go Wrong...
Carlos Tevez is right. We won't see him as a traitor for joining City. Any feelings of anger or disappointment directed at him started when he began slagging off the manager following the European Cup final. These feelings deepened when he continued talking to the press of his unhappiness with life at the Champions, earning £90k a week and playing in 51 games that season. The situation then reached breaking point when he rejected the club's offer.
Tevez can join City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Real Madrid... I'm not arsed. He can't be a traitor now because he's not one of us. It's a sad state of affairs when you'd rather a former Kop hero in your team, but that's the situation Tevez has put us in. Our fans will rip him to shreds when we go to Wastelands next season and no doubt he'll spend the following weeks crying to the papers about that and all! What a dick.

Name Change
In explaining the shock value of the Michael Owen transfer and also citing his f365 monkier of EMO my girlfriend has since taken to calling him MUMO, pronuncing it as Mum-O. She says you can use that

Someone Tell Us
Dear MC
I remember reading a while back that after Anelka's move from Bolton to Chelsea, his cumulative transfer fees made him the most expensive player ever. Am I right in thinking that Ronaldo has just gone and topped him?

How It Changes
So if Terry moves to Citeh, does that make the sky blues the most hated club in Britain? Bellamy and Terry together... shudder....
Also if Arsene gets Melo while getting rid of Eboue I'll even buy an 'Arsene Knows' t-shirt!
