Stefan Jovetic: Likely to to be needed with new striker Rossi injured until Marc

Manchester City and Juventus have reportedly shown interest in Montenegro international Jovetic, who has scored eight goals in 14 appearances this season.

The 22-year-old opted to stay following promises made by Fiorentina president Andrea Della Valle over strengthening the team.

La Viola have signed former Manchester United striker Rossi from Villarreal, but with a long-term cruciate injury likely to keep Rossi out of action for another two months, it seems that Jovetic is still part of their plans.

Fiorentina sporting director Daniele Prade reiterated his club's stance at the press conference to unveil Rossi's arrival, saying: "Giuseppe Rossi is our future, as well as our team. But it is not the case to think that the arrival Rossi opens the door to a possible sale of Jovetic.

"Rossi is an investment in the medium to long term to strengthen the team."

m starting to think Roman may never actually be happy at the top level. If he wants all conquering fancy football I wonder if he'd be better off buying a lower division side then paying outlandish salaries to attract high caliber players too good for the division.

afa has to be favourite for the Everton job now, surely :) He'll realise his ambition to live and work on Merseyside again, get the best out of whoever plays for them, maybe win some cups and be thoroughly loathed by the toffee fans. What's not to like? Go ead, Ken, gimajob!

hat is arguably the least inspiring England I have ever seen. There is not a single name in that list that makes me think I might actually want to watch this team. Not a one.
