dactyl, when Mancini leaves and you get a decent manager in his place, you just might agree with what the whole world sees apart from City fans.

@utd_till_i_die: And just so you know aren't all steeped in the tribal hatred typical of too many modern fans I will, as usual, be supporting United against the Spanish Armada. I'm sure I'm not the only one puzzled by your accusations of mediocrity aimed at a manager who has guided a perennially badly managed and non achieving club to two trophies in successive years. Bear in mind too that football cognoscenti from the then top four Premiership teams insisted that buying top players would not necessarily result in any club winning trophies. Your manager needed to instil teamwork they told us and we were warned that such teamwork takes years to result in success as Fergie demonstrated in his first few years at United. Is it perhaps because as a United fan you are so used to winning silverware that you see it as the norm and fail to understand that in football it is the exception? @fishcake: Do you know what a straw man argument is? Look it up. I don't think Fergie has been "scared" of anyone since his astounding exploits at Aberdeen never mind United. What I do think is that he has a new competitor club for top domestic honours and I think he recognises that too. I would never escalate Mancini's claim to managerial fame above that which he deserves for his successes which are small compared with Fergie's but significant compared with many others and significant for the club and the fans he hopes to satisfy. I do hope that's not too hard too understand. Oh and by the way City's owner the "shiek" is actually a Sheikh.

@Dactyl.....The Shiek bought you your first trophies in years. Very little to do with Mancini, the bloke has shown this season that he's out of his depth and the only way you're are going to improve under him is if the Shiek spends another 100m to bail Mancini out again! If you wish to continue to convince yourself that we are 'scared' of Mancini....when clearly no one is, no one even respects the man, then please continue.....it would continue the City are 'comedy' theme very nicely!

The thing is dactyl, everyone has their own perspective while looking at a thing. I doubt any United fan put up any defensive posts, you may see it that way. We are merely laughing our balls out at a manager who puts himself neck deep in mediocrity. Time will tell who is right. Anyhow, you are right about one thing, we will need a considerable amount of luck to get through against Real, but then again so will they. It is going to be a cracking tie that is for sure.

I doubt very much if a bear of so little brain as your good self utd_till_i_die would be capable of sarcasm but let me explain: defensive posts which so many United supporters seem to post these days betray doubts about a very good position engineered by an excellent manager. Hope that's not too difficult for you to understand but please post if you would like further tuition in the subtleties of the English language However I'm glad you want the same as so many City supporters do: that Mancini stays. Anyway good luck against Real Madrid - you'll need it.

Mancini should be a lot more thankful or if United had taken their points they should have, they would have been atleast 21 points ahead of City, I hope that useless money spunking manager will learn something from Fergie.....
