The former Chelsea and Real Madrid forward had an unhappy start to the season but has won back his place this year, helping the Bavarians close in on an unprecedented treble.

Reports have linked the 29-year-old with a return to the Premier League but he insists his focus is lifting the Champions League trophy when he does come back to England later this month.

"I am not dealing with this speculation," the Dutchman told reporters, ahead of the Wembley showpiece against Bundesliga rivals Borussia Dortmund.

"There is so much speculation but I only want to deal with football.

"I still have two years on my deal so why should I leave?

"It is all about performance on the pitch and in the past games I have shown I can contribute here at Bayern.

"I am only focused on Bayern. We want to win the title on May 25 and that is the only thing that counts."

Robben is hoping for Champions League glory at the third attempt, having lost the 2010 and 2012 finals with Bayern.

resumably, you wanted to keep the version of Downing that was never seen at Anfield. The one that another manager has managed to re-create. The one you passed over.
