The 30-year-old is currently under contract until 2015 but has attracted interest from around Europe, including defending Premier League champions Manchester United and fellow English club Chelsea.

The clause in Alves' contract which allows extra seasons to be added on ends in 2014, meaning the Brazil international will have to make decisions about future in the next two years.

However, Alves insists he is settled in La Liga and dismissed speculation, claiming he is living for the here and now.

Speaking to El Mundo Deportivo he said: "My future always appears in the papers.

"But I live day to day and year to year. It is a pleasure that the big European clubs are interested in my work but for now, I am very happy here, I am very clear.

"If I sign a deal, I fulfil the contract as long as the two parties are happy.

"Today, I say that Barcelona are content with my work and they are positive, as am I."

Alves has won four Spanish league titles and two Champions League winners' medals during his five years in the Catalan region.

Barcelona are currently top of La Liga, level on points with Atletico Madrid and head their Champions League group with one game to play before the knockout stages.

couple of wins and everything is OK! Sorry you still haven't got a striker who can consistently goals. Keep searching. I don't think Liverpool will make top four not even Europa League this time around.

f he can find the right player? Surely the manager of one of Europe's top clubs has a well-researched short-list and has a good idea of who he wants to bring on-board? If I can find the right player sounds like someone going out on Saturday night on the pull, and the nearer you get to midnight the lower your standards drop.
