Powell, Latics' top-scorer this term with eight goals, is on a season-long loan with the Sky Bet Championship club but his form at the DW Stadium has led to suggestions United could want him back, or will send him out to another Premier League club.

The champions' boss David Moyes certainly fuelled that rumour last month when he revealed he was watching Powell's development closely and was mulling over the idea of bringing him back to Manchester.

However, Rosler, who has only been in the job since early December, has frequently reiterated his desire to keep the England Under-21 international under his watch at Wigan.

And while unwilling to provide a definite answer on Powell's immediate future, both sides appear happy to let the current arrangement continue.

"I have had more good dialogue with David Moyes and I know where we are," Rosler told the Wigan Evening Post.

"That's all I can say for now. But look at my face - I am smiling - so that tells you it's not the worst news. That says something."

And Moyes too seems happy for the 19-year-old to remain with Latics, for the rest of this month at least.

Speaking to MUTV about the players currently away from United on loan, the Scot said: "We need to make a decision on them but maybe the end of January is soon enough.

"We don't need to make a decision just now. A lot will depend on if anything changes here, then we can look at them. But we're watching them to see how they're doing."

One player who has returned to Old Trafford from the DW Stadium is striker Will Keane.

Like Powell he was brought in under the previous regime of Owen Coyle but injuries restricted him to just four appearances in a blue and white shirt.

Keane recently missed over a year with a serious knee injury and a groin problem has now ended his stay with Wigan.

"Will is back at Manchester United due to a groin injury," Rosler added. "But we will continue to monitor his situation throughout January, we'll see."

Defender Ryan Shotton has also returned to Stoke after his loan deal ended and there could be more faces departing, with the manager keen to stamp his own mark on the Wigan squad.

Rosler revealed enquiries had been made for some players and one of those could be striker Nouha Dicko, who has just six months left on his deal, and was recently recalled from a fruitful loan spell with Rotherham.

"We have received enquiries for one or two players, and we will have to make decisions regarding that," Rosler said.

"Some of them only have six months remaining on their contracts, and there is a value on that."

I

expect Pulis to have a nice Christmas dinner with his family- probably all sitting around the table wearing Christmas themed baseball caps, before he gets the call. Realistically he could end up at any number of clubs, it'll be interesting to see which club folds first.

For Foxes' Sake, Call The Pulis...

A

s a Liverpool fan, I personally hate Palace. My pick would probably be Arsenal, which is funny because it seems the vast majority of their own fans don't even like them right now.
