Leon Knight also got on the scoresheet for the hosts, while Luke Medley held his nerve to convert a penalty just before the break for the Bantams.

The home side made a storming start and were ahead after six minutes when Facey slotted in off the post following good link-up play with Matt Phillips.

The Chairboys were unfortunate not to double their lead after 25 minutes when captain David McCracken steered Mike Williamson's cross onto the crossbar.

However, a minute late a second goal did arrive thanks to Knight's sharp finish, following McCracken's knockdown off Phillips' corner.

The Bantams struggled to threaten Wycombe until just before half-time when Medley slotted home from the spot after goalkeeper Frank Fielding felled David Brown.
