In the 24th minute Fryatt latched on to Joe Mattock's through ball and was upended by Dons defender Sean O'Hanlon in the penalty box.

Fryatt stroked home his spot-kick with keeper Willy Gueret diving the wrong way.

The visitors' best chance of the game came in a rare break-away when Dean Lewington's free-kick fell to Aaron Wilbraham but Paul Henderson was alert to his angled drive.

Leicester wrapped up the game after 83 minutes when Max-Alain Gradel stole the ball from Jude Stirling before feeding Fryatt, who guided the ball home from 10 yards.
