Orient midfielder Sean Thornton had driven his side on in the early stages but Posh went in front a minute before the break when Craig Mackail-Smith dispossessed Brian Saah and raced from the half-way line before beating Glenn Morris with a superb curling shot.

Orient keeper Morris was helpless again four minutes into the second half when Aaron Mclean controlled a Dean Keates free kick before turning to hammer Posh's second.

Mclean should have netted again moments later only to stand on the ball, before Mackail-Smith (68) poached his second and Posh's third when he squeezed the ball home through a crowd.

Thornton almost carved out an Orient opening with a free-kick but Posh continued to pile forward with Mclean, Keates and George Boyd all going close.

The Problem With FA Cup Shocks...

...is that the draw for the next round is pretty shocking. Blackburn v Stoke, anybody? We also have mails on LVG and ManUnited, who drew plenty under Fergie...

You're Man Utd, For Crying Out Loud!

Defending a 0-0 draw with Cambridge on the grounds that other teams lost to lower-league opposition is not befitting of Man United. We're inclined to agree with Mailboxers...
