The home side were under pressure for much of the game and were fortunate not to go a goal down after Ryan Jarvis found himself well positioned in the area before firing tamely at goalkeeper Michel Kuipers.

Jason Demetriou also impressed for the visitors and he shot wide moments after a penalty appeal for handball was rejected for the east London side.

Orient keeper Glenn Morris twice denied Nicky Forster in the opening stages and was beaten early in the second half only to see Adam Virgo's downward header kept out on the line by Aiden Palmer.

But it was substitute Kevin McLeod who should have snatched the points for the hosts when in the last minute he raced clear but was halted by Morris, who made a superb stop.
