Lambert: Ensured a share of the spoils

Lambert: Ensured a share of the spoils

Lambert, joint top scorer in the division, tapped home his 10th goal of the season from Craig Disley's cross eight minutes after the interval.

Mike Flynn had given Huddersfield the lead in the seventh minute with his second goal in as many matches. The midfielder picked up a loose clearance from Rovers' captain Stuart Campbell before lashing a 20-yard effort beyond visiting goalkeeper Steve Phillips.

Rovers responded, but Darryl Duffy dwelled too long when well placed, allowing Huddersfield Jim Goodwin to make a superb last-ditch challenge.

Rovers winger Jeff Hughes then latched on to a Chris Lines' throughball only to be foiled by Huddersfield goalkeeper Matt Glennon.

After Lambert's equaliser the visitors looked the more likely to grab a winner, but Duffy headed Campbell's free-kick straight at Glennon.
