Two second-half strikes from Tony Craig and Marc Laird sealed the Lions' victory to earn them a maximum points haul over the Bulls this season.

Hereford pressed forward in the early stages with Steve Guinan heading a cross from Andy Williams wide of the far post, while Williams also struck the foot of the post moments later.

They continued to attack early in the second half with Williams bursting into the area before releasing the ball to Toumani Diagouraga, but his shot was blocked on the line by Andy Frampton.

The deadlock was eventually broken after 65 minutes when Craig headed a cross from David Martin into the net from close range.

And, moments before the end, Laird added the Lions' second when he headed the ball past Samson to seal the three points.
