Booth struck 15 minutes into his last ever appearance at the Galpharm Stadium - his 149th goal for the Terriers.

Brighton, searching for a fourth straight win, levelled when substitute Calvin Andrew headed in a Dean Cox corner after 37 minutes.

Huddersfield went back in front after 56 minutes when Michael Collins raced onto Danny Cadamarteri's through-ball and shot powerfully home.

But Town's defence lost sight of Adam El-Abd's wild throw, allowing Owusu to fire home on 66 minutes.
